TODAY’S TOPIC: THE NAME OF THE LORD
SCRIPTURE: “Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.” (1 Samuel 17: 45)

That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today.
In our Focal Scripture, David declared that he came in the name of the Lord of hosts, who is the God of the armies of Israel. David did not come in the name of the experience he got in the bush when he slew the lion and the bear. He didn’t come in the name of Saul the king who gave him permission to confront Goliath. He didn’t come in the name of his abilities. He didn’t come in his own name. He came in the name of the Lord.
Friend, in this season and beyond, go in the name of the Lord. As you set out to hit your targets, go in the name of the Lord. As you pursue your dreams, go in the name of the Lord. As you emerge at major destiny gates, go in the name of the Lord. As you push for new results in your career, business, ministry, finances, vocation, etc., go in the name of the Lord. As you face the Goliaths of this world, go in the name of the Lord of hosts.
When the name of the Lord goes forth, ancient altars give way. When the name of the Lord is involved, satanic sieges are broken. When the name of the Lord goes forth, impossibilities become possible. When the name of the Lord goes forth, the Goliaths of this world go down. When the name of the Lord goes forth, cycles of shame and pain are broken. When the name of the Lord goes forth, the energy of the Spirit gets involved.
Because you have come in the name of the Lord, I command policies that are not in your favour to give way; I command systems and structures to align in your favour; I command the limitations of your yesterday to be broken; I command the help and helpers you need to be made available to you; I command the gates of nations to be open to you; I command the kings you need to send for you; I command the tables to turn in your favour.
I pray for you: when your name is mentioned, may the name of the Lord be heard. When your name is not enough, may the name of the Lord be more than enough for you.
Psalm 20: 7 says: “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.”
Declare With Me: I come in the name of the Lord: every Goliath, go down, in Jesus’ name!
